February 06 – Draft Card for “Babe” Ruth

World War I Draft Registration Card for George Herman Ruth (ARC ID 641780)
Baseballs fans tired of all this football talk may want to vote for Babe Ruth’s draft card, pictured above. The card itself is undated, but clearly shows him still playing for Boston, employed at Fenway Park (and with the curse of the Bambino incontrovertibly broken, we feel safe pointing this out). While it lists his birth date as February 7, 1894, most accounts indicate his birthday as February 6, 1895.
